Ihave 33 meds I take 3-4 times a day, I am a kidney transplant patient with other medical issues that will not allow me to work. I see a physician 2-4 times a month. I only recieve 900 a month ss. I barely have enough to make it. My rent is 865/month. I really could use some help and it seems like no one cares. How can I get help with rent and utilities when I have tried every gov't agent I am disabled and can't work
Have you applied for section 8 housing?

If you don't qualify, maybe getting a 3 bedroom apartment near your medical appointments and sharing the rent 3 ways? How can I get help with rent and utilities when I have tried every gov't agent I am disabled and can't work
If can type a question on Yahoo!Answers, then you can get a job.

And frankly, I don't care.
You should definitely apply for subsidised housing.

Go here: http://www.ehow.com/how_6152_find-subsid鈥?/a>

Also apply for food stamps.

For Wyoming: http://dfsweb.state.wy.us/foodstampinfo.鈥?/a>

Generally: http://www.ssa.gov/pubs/10101.html

Also apply for LIEAP (Low-Income Energy Assistance Programme)

The very first thing I would do is get in touch with your

Transplant Social Worker and tell her what is happening.

She may be able to direct you or even help you with

obtaining these funds.

American National Kidney Fund

And email at helpline: helpline@kidneyfund.org.

Since you are very low income, you should also be able to apply not just for the Social Security Disability income but for Social Security income also and possibly Medicare and Medicaid.

Since you are low income, you should be able to call

your utility companies and ask them directly how they

help people who need financial assistance in paying their

bills...Sometimes it is listed in front of the telephone books,

or comes as an insert with the bill for electric also.

Some people can also get tax breaks in their state if

they own a home and are disabled. Also they sometimes

will help with the heating bills.

Here is a link that they use for cancer patients, but it

should also be of benefit to you also.

I would also get in touch with your local Area of the Aging and

tell them...they know of organization that help the elderly and

can sometimes help those who are disabled also.

Some church organization, if they know what is happening,

have volunteers who might help you.

I wish I could be of more assistance to you.
If you can type this question, then you are well enough to work by selling stuff on ebay or other online jobs.

Contact support groups for your illnesses, I am sure they can guide you in a caring way.
I'd offer some suggestions, but I really don't care.
